The best way to describe this congregation is "family". When Apple Valley Community of Christ says "ALL are welcome" - they mean it. Everyone is considered a child of God; everyone is valued and loved. Casual dress and open communion here too - all are welcome at Christ's table.
It is an easy place to stop in and visit on a Sunday morning because everyone is so friendly. You feel the welcome as soon as you walk inside. There is always hot coffee and usually a treat table too! :0)
P.S. The list is endless for people who are wishing to be actively involved! Choir members, piano players, instrumentalists, participants during services, help with upkeep of the gardens, building maintenance, bulletins,kitchen help,and social events are always appreciated!Added April 24, 2019 by Holly Kastl - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
As a long time member, I can reassure anyone who is afraid or unsure to enter, or reenter, a house of our Lord... do not be afraid, there are friendly, sweet people here every Sunday (9:30am Sunday School and 10:30am Worship) waiting to welcome you. Membership is not required.
